About Poupette St. Barth
The creation of the Poupette St. Barth clothing line is best told as the love story of a woman and an island in the French Antilles. Monique Giarud, who took the nickname “Poupette” at a young age, discovered St. Barth in 1979 and made it her home. After 16 years, Monique has created her own line of clothing, initially selling out of a stylish boutique in the famous restaurant called Le Tamarin. Symbols of freshness, the frangipani flowers from the Tamarin garden still grace the company logo today.
The wonderful feel for color and energy lends the dresses and skirts from Poupette a romantic and playful feel. Giraud’s designs have become a favorite, especially among the elite clientele that visit St Barth. Poupette certainly knows what women love to wear. With comfortable and beautifully designed pieces made from top quality fabric, every piece designed by Poupette captures the essence of St. Barth.
Giraud founded Poupette St Barth in 1995. A global brand, Poupette St Barth is available in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, the Pacific, as well as the Americas. Her clothing is sold in franchises, department stores, and upscale retail boutiques across the world. “Poupette” is her childhood nickname, which perfectly captures the brand’s soul in the body, face and expression of the “woman-child:” cute, adorable and fresh.
